Meet Brooke

Name: Brooke
Occupation: Student
School: SOTA (School of the Arts)
Gets around by: Bus

Where do you live and where do you go to school?
I live in South Tacoma by Lincoln High School and I go to school at Tacoma School of the Arts.

How do you get there?
I take the 48 to school and the 53 back home.

How does it all add up? How much time and money do you save?
Having a designated time that I have to be at the stop in order to get to school on time helps me to start my day easier and essentially saves me time.

What’s in it for you?
The exercise I get from walking to the stops is definitely a benefit, while riding the bus allows me to listen to my music and get some studying in on my French vocabulary cards.

Do you have any tips for people who may be trying these modes for the first time?
Even though it can get crowded in seats when you have all your belongings with you, taking your things off the seat next to you for others to sit at when the bus is starting to get crowded is very thoughtful and eases the morning hassle for everyone.
