Park(ing) Day, September 16, 2011, is an annual global event where citizens, artists and activists collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public places. Downtown On the Go is once again partnering with Transportation Choices Coalition to coordinate Park(ing) Day in downtown Tacoma. It’s not too early to sign up for a spot at Park(ing) Day 2011! Participating does not cost anything but you are responsible for designing the site and feeding the meter. Check out the photos from last year on our Facebook page.
