Where do you live and where do you work?
We live at Bella’s on Broadway.
Peter: I work at the Tacoma Art Museum.
Christie: I am an educator and marketing professional.
How do you get there?
Peter: I walk or take The Link and have to drive on occasion for meetings around the area.
Christie: I enjoy walking downtown and making lots of connections with local business owners.
How does it all add up? How much money and time do you save?
Peter: Well we lived on Bainbridge Island and used to take Kitsap Transit, WA State Ferry,Metro and drive. Commuting cost was about $130 dollars a month plus Seattle garage cost of $300 dollars a month. Living and working downtown has saved $430 dollars a month or $5,160 a year.
Christie: I worked on the island and drove everywhere, so we have saved on gasoline.
