“Taking part in Walk Tacoma is a fun way to learn about the history of our great city while burning some calories in the process.” – Jonah Jensen, BLRB Architects

Pedal with Politicians

Over the first few weeks of September, your Tacoma City Council Members and other local politicians will be biking around Tacoma to get up close and personal with the existing (and missing) bike and trail network in downtown Tacoma. The event will be launched on September 30th through the free GeoTourist app, so you can ride the routes that your elected officials traveled, get more familiar with funded infrastructure and learn about opportunities for advocacy.

Stay tuned for more details about the local elected officials that are participating, as well as the bike routes we’ll be highlighting.

The best way to advocate for bicycling in Tacoma is to get out and ride. And the best way to encourage our local government to better our roads for people on bikes is to virtually ride “alongside” them starting on September 30th!
