Park(ing) Day

Parking Day 2021

Throughout 2020, we’ve seen parking spots utilized in ways they haven’t before, as restaurant dining space, gardens, bench spaces, and pedestrian accesses. For the last 16 years, Park(ing) day has been an international event in which artists, citizens, and businesses will temporarily transform a metered parking spot into temporary public space.

And it’s happening again this year! Click here to see our plans for Park(ing) Day 2021, a livestream with local advocates and officials from the streets of Downtown Tacoma.

Learn more about our prior Park(ing) day events here! And for info about the international Park(ing) day, check out the world map.
