Sept. 29 Link Stop Opening

Join Downtown On the Go and Sound Transit as we hold a dedication ceremony at the Tacoma Link Commerce Street Station (11th and Commerce) to celebrate the inception of passenger service at the new stop at 2 p.m. on Sept. 29, 2011.

Mayor Marilyn Strickland, Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber President & CEO Tom Pierson, Sound Transit Board and Tacoma City Councilmember Jake Fey, and Artist Chandler O’Leary will speak at the event.

Tacoma Link service to the new station began on Sept. 15. The station includes two 40-foot platforms, platform lighting, accessibility ramps, security cameras, and passenger shelters that incorporate etched glass artwork by Tacoma artist Chandler O’Leary.
