PARK(ing) Day Art Walk

Get in one last walk with us on Friday, September 21st! Our PARK(ing) Day Art Walk culminates the 2018 Walk Tacoma series. During the walk, Seong Shin from McGranaham Architects will lead us from Tollefson Plaza, along a stretch of the Prairie Line Trail, down along Pacific Ave to Firemans Park, integrating her knowledge of downtown’s unique history and architecture while gesturing toward streetscape design and art installations. This walk features the story of the in between spaces we might not otherwise notice as we walk through downtown.

The Children’s Museum of Tacoma will provide a kid-friendly activity. Following the walk, all participants will receive PARK(ing) Day Passports and the opportunity to travel back toward Tollefson Plaza exploring this year’s 40 mini parks and grabbing a tasty treat at one of three food trucks! You don’t want to miss this walk!
