Getting safely to school has become an important topic in Tacoma. We are hosting a Friday Forum to hear from students and parents in downtown who make their way to school using active transportation. From preschools to colleges, downtown Tacoma is home to a range of students, teachers, and school administrators. In a panel discussion we will hear about safety, accessibility, and best practices, followed up by a conversation about Safe Routes to School and what steps towards improvement Tacoma is taking.
The Forum will be March 25nd, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at the University of Washington Tacoma (Tacoma Room GWP 320).
