Learn about 20 Minute Neighborhoods and how planners and community members can foster increased livability in Tacoma at the Downtown On the Go Friday Forum on Jan. 22, 2016 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at the University of Washington Tacoma (Tacoma Room GWP 320).
Chris Saleeba and Kim Voros from Alta Planning will lead a discussion about how Tacoma neighborhoods can become more walkable and inclusive of community resources. Alta Planning participated in the creation of Tacoma’s Transportation Master Plan and Saleeba and Voros offer insight into how walkability relates to downtown vitality. Peter Anderson, of the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department, will discuss how more walkable neighborhoods relate to health and wellness.
